The Mission of the Georgia Chapter shall be to promote high standards in the practice of cardiovascular medicine/surgery in the state of Georgia and maximize the quality of cardiovascular care received by the residents of the State.
In addition the Chapter shall advise local and state governmental as well as professional organizations and citizens concerning issues related to cardiovascular disease and the practice of cardiovascular medicine/surgery.
The Chapter will also act as an advocate for its membership in dealing with issues relating to economic and practice problems including third-party reimbursement, managed care providers, peer review, governmental review bodies, credentialing, entities in quality assurance standards.
The Chapter, through its membership, will strive to maintain the highest standards in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
Additionally, in the form of Annual and additional meetings the Chapter will facilitate scientific interaction and educational activities among cardiovascular specialists in the State of Georgia.
