September 29 – October 1, 2024 | Washington, D.C.
The American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) 2024 Legislative Conference will take place September 29 – October 1 at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill! Don’t miss this annual opportunity to learn more about the major issues impacting the practice of cardiology, connect with your colleagues, and meet with your members of Congress on Tuesday, October 1.
This year, Congress has made significant progress on several key ACC Advocacy policy priorities, focusing on long-term reform of the Medicare payment system, streamlining the prior authorization process beyond what was included in the final rule implemented by CMS last year, bolstering the health care workforce, and identifying ways to reduce inequities in care delivery. Let’s keep up the momentum by showcasing a strong presence on Capitol Hill this fall!
The conference will commence on Sunday, September 29, with an exclusive HeartPAC donor event. This event is a unique opportunity for our valued donors to gain insights into the impact the presidential election will have down the ticket and what that means for the next Congress from trusted political experts. This event has a separate registration process – please contact Ryan Moore (rmoore@acc.org) to register or for more information.
On Monday, September 30, educational sessions will feature cardiology leaders and top advocates who will brief attendees on the hot-button issues impacting cardiovascular professionals nationwide.
On Tuesday, October 1, conference participants will join pre-arranged meetings with members of Congress and their staff. These meetings provide a unique opportunity to directly influence health policy and discuss ways to improve cardiovascular care. Your participation is crucial to ensure the voice of cardiology is heard on Capitol Hill. Detailed information on how to register is below.
